RYA Sea survival / World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival
We all hope to never face an emergency at sea. However, if a crisis arises despite all precautions, knowing how to respond can significantly reduce its impact. The primary goal of the survival course is to explain and practice life-saving procedures that can make the difference between survival and disaster.
All larger vessels are required to carry life-saving equipment, including distress flares, life jackets, and life rafts. But how many of us would know how to use them effectively in an emergency? Do you know how to board a life raft correctly? Can you avoid drowning due to cold shock? Would you be able to swim back to your crew and stay afloat in an inflated life jacket while fully clothed? Do you know how to fire a distress flare for maximum visibility? These critical skills can mean the difference between safety and danger, protecting your crew, your vessel, and sometimes even saving lives.
In addition to RYA Sea Survival courses, we are also certified to conduct training for the World Sailing Offshore Personal Survival course. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate essential for participation in major regattas, such as the Rolex Middle Sea Race and similar offshore events.
