What is the validity of an RYA certification?
Each country has the sovereign right to determine which certifications it recognizes for sailing within its waters. However, RYA is widely regarded as the best certification for recreational sailors—not only due to its renowned emphasis on high-quality education but also because it is a certification from a British maritime powerhouse with a long history of sailing achievements and a training methodology refined over more than 150 years.
What is the difference between RYA and other certifications (C, B, A)?
The RYA training system is designed for those who want to learn and grow, so it places minimal restrictions on you. There are no distance limits from shore—RYA certificates indicate what you are capable of, not what you are forbidden to do. However, they emphasize common sense, encouraging sailors to recognize their limits and strive for continuous improvement.
RYA instructors undergo extensive training, and earning this qualification is not only a testament to their high-level sailing skills but also to their ability to teach effectively with a human approach. They must renew their certification every 5 years, ensuring that the knowledge they pass on is always up-to-date and technically correct.

Můžu jít na kondiční plavbu i když nemám žádnou certifikaci od RYA?
Na většinu našich plaveb bereme i úplné začátečníky, pokud si myslíte že ji zvládnete fyzicky nic Vám nebrání v účasti. Cílem je Vás něco naučit a na to nepotřebujeme žádné specielní předpoklady, jenom abyste přišli
Musím před kondiční plavbou absolvovat i teoretický kurz?
Z kondičních plaveb nevystavujeme žádné certifikáty (jenom potvrzení o naplutých mílých), Vaše znalosti tedy není potŕebné nijak dokazovat. Nicméně jestli přijdete minimálně teoreticky připraveni, je velká šance že si z dané plavby odnesete mnohem víc v porovnání s tím kdyby tomu tak nebylo.
