This course aims to provide an introduction and expand your knowledge in areas such as working with nautical charts, basic navigation, tidal calculations, and topics like safety and emergency procedures. It is designed for those sailing near the coast and their home port, making it an ideal theoretical foundation for those interested in the RYA Competent Crew course. It serves as a basic introduction to navigation and safety for all newcomers to the maritime environment, including beginner sailors, motorboat owners, fishermen, and divers. It is also useful for experienced inland racers or as a tool for learning essential English terminology used on board.
